There are several opportunities available to members of the community who would like to get involved in the local drug court programs. Below we have listed just a few ways you can help the Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Drug Court Foundation. We welcome any additional services you or your organization might be able to offer.
Both the adult and juvenile drug courts make a special effort to recognize specific periods of sobriety, programmatic milestones, and special achievements. We use a variety of incentives including tickets to sporting events, movie theatre coupons, gas cards, department store gift cards, restaurant certificates, etc. as part of this process. We welcome donated gift cards, tickets or other items we can use as incentives.
Those clients that are not enrolled in school full time are required to work. Opportunities are needed in order to broaden the pool of potential places where clients can secure employment.
Support of the community and local businesses is critical to the continued success of the drug court programs. The Foundation is a non-profit organization and accepts personal donations as well as corporate and non-profit agency donations.
The Chesterfield/Colonial Heights Drug Court Foundation was developed to promote public awareness regarding drug courts and provide financial support to the adult and juvenile drug courts in order that both courts meet their mission. The Foundation Board meets three times a year. These meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:30 am to 8:30 am in January, April and October of each year.
